Flawless Face Base - Drugstore
I love everything about makeup... the process of putting it on, experimenting with new looks, buying new things, and wearing it! Being confident in your own skin is everything, but there's nothing wrong with feeling good in a full face of makeup. I thought I would share with y'all my favorite products for smooth looking skin at the minute. ♡
What would foundation be without a primer? If you want long-lasting makeup you should always use a primer under your base products. Setting sprays are my favorite way to prime since they absorb quickly and refresh the skin. Milani's Make it Last is my current go-to for a long lasting base.
Sonia Kashuk is such an underrated makeup brand. Their tools specifically, are some of my favorites. I prefer to apply foundation, concealer, and powder with a sponge for a smoother finish. This marbled beauty sponge is the perfect balance of soft and stiff. Top tip for you: Get the sponge with more white swirled throughout as they are softer and less dense.
A full coverage natural finish foundation is EVERYTHING! The Wet n' Wild Photofocus foundation is my go-to right now. It has everything I want, plus a plastic spatula for easily application and it's my perfect pale shade. It's no wonder everyone seems to be talking about this foundation. I'm in love with everything about it.
When I'm not my usual super pale shade, I typically don't want to buy a brand new foundation for the special occasion of having a tan. That's why I use Catrice Cosmetics' darkening drops. They don't alter the undertone of the foundation or the consistency. I don't know how I went so long without having these on hand. Darkening drops are a summer must, so save some money and buy these from the drugstore.
Anybody with any level of beauty skills has probably heard about the infamous Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I honestly can't bring myself to spend that much on a concealer, but I think I found a close second. Full coverage, light weight, and flawless are the best ways to describe the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Concealer. The shade range is terrible, but if you manage to find a shade don't hesitate to pick it up.
There you have it, my favorite base makeup at the minute! Any products that I need to try out this summer?
