Eating in Savannah

If you haven't read the first part to this post, go and have a look! I talk all about the city's best places to visit and my thoughts on them.

Now for the fun part... the food ☺

There are so many local places to eat in the historic district that this whole blog post only covers a few. I would encourage you to try something new and branch out if you ever go so you get the full experience of dining in Savannah.

Cafe M ★★★★★
A true Parisian cafe started by a couple that lived in France for many years and fell in love with Savannah. There really is a very European atmosphere to the restaurant. The food is light, but filling and so incredible! My favorite thing was the berry pie which was just divine! Warm, sweet, and all the feels of a homemade dessert, I couldn't recommend it more. The freshly made whipped cream topped it off beautifully.

Wanting something salty? Try the warm croissant melts or the sandwiches. The ham and swiss melt as well as the egg sandwich with brie are delicious! You don't want to miss the warm, flaky croissants that go with it.

The Little Duck Diner ★★★★★

Created to look like a '20s diner, the atmosphere resembles just that. It is owned by a group that has several locations in Savannah with different cuisines. The food at The Little Duck Diner is mainly breakfast, but they also do tacos and sandwiches. It's really just classic breakfast food with a great flavor and a really enchanting atmosphere.

Metro Diner ★★★★★

All around a really great place. The service, the food, and the location. Do yourself a favor and please order the Fruity Belgian Waffles! They're light, crispy, and come with a variety of fresh fruits. The chicken pot pie is also really nice along with the BLT. I could tell that all the food was freshly made. There are many locations in the US where they all use local goods for items on the menu.

Leopold's Ice Cream ★★★★☆

A classic Savannah eatery for sure. Leopold's is always super busy, but trust me it's worth the wait. There are so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. Not only do they have ice cream, but also floats, soups, sandwiches, and more. I love everything lemon flavored and the lemon custard definitely lived up to all my expectations. I would've gone back more than once if I wasn't trying all the other places to eat. 🍦

Super Taste ★★★★☆

This is probably one of those spots that most people miss when they're looking for a place to stop and have bite. I enjoyed it a lot and found the prices to be very reasonable for the overall experience of the meal. Service was top notch, lunch specials are served all day, and  they even hand out free appetizers. If you're eating on a budget or just don't want to splurge on a meal, then you need to check out Super Taste.

Savannah was a blast and I enjoyed every minute of it! This might not be the last post you see about it as I'm not quite done sharing the fun and reminiscing. What else would you like to know about my trip? ¿﹖
