24 days of suprises
Hi everybody! I hope you all had a happy new year and you're enjoying the start of 2018! This is a little late, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the Essence Advent Calendar for 2017. Sadly, it is no longer available online, however this review might be helpful in your decision to purchase next years calendar.
I bought my advent beauty calendar on Black Friday for 50% off, making the item $20.00. You receive 24 days of full size products that range from nail stickers to lipsticks. I was really impressed with the selection of items and how many new things you can try. My favorite door was #16, a full sized mattifying powder. I haven't tried out all of the products that I got, but Essence is one of my all time favorite drugstore brands.
The lipsticks came in beautiful shades and had limited edition holiday packaging (MY FAVORITE PART!!!). Most everything came in a universal shade or one that anybody could use. I think there is something for everyone to love in this calendar.
I didn't love the goodie bags just because I don't really have a use for them. The nail polish was also a bit of a let down. They didn't even last a day and they flaked off really easily. Other than those few items, I was very happy with it. I think the value of this calendar is way more than what I paid and I look forward to testing out all of the products.
If you want to check out full pictures and see everything that was in the calendar head on over to my Instagram @rainbow_roll4.
