An Easter Treat
Happy Saturday! I hope you've had a good couple of weeks and a great weekend. Since Easter is coming up tomorrow, I thought I would make something fun and easy. I found a recipe on Pinterest for Spring Peanut Butter Cookies. They make 4 dozen cookies, but I cut the recipe in half. Mine are not colorful because I did not have any pastel candies, but if you want to add them then they will be more Spring like. Thanks to Inspired by Charm for the yummy recipe!
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of softened butter
1/2 light brown sugar
1/2 cup of cane sugar
3/4 cup of smooth peanut butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extarct
2 cups of desired chocolate candies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Cream together the butter, brown sugar, cane sugar, and peanut butter in a large bowl.
When combined, add the egg and vanilla extract.
Mix in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the flour until well combined. Fold in your desired chocolate candies
Roll the dough into ball shapes of preferred size, just remember the cookies will expand a little and fluff up.
Put the cookies in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Place on a baking rack to completely
cool, then enjoy!
