How do I feel about gel nails...

Last Friday I went with my mom to get manicures and it was so much fun. A few weeks ago we had tried gel nails at a salon closer to our house, but the service wasn't even close to where we had gone this Friday. 

We got our polish removed, our hands oiled and put in plastic bags with hot towels on top. I got a rub with lotion before my polish was put on, but my mom had it in reverse order. After the rub I washed my hands and the lady put two types of base coats on. 

I don't know what they were exactly, but the nail polish I had put on was the CND Shellac©Nail Polish in Safety Pin (mentioned in my Christmas List post). Since it was a true gel polish, after every coat I had to put my hand under an LED light (also mentioned in my list). A gel polish topcoat was also put on and hardened with a light. My favorite part was getting nail art. I went on Pinterest and asked the lady to do one of my nails with the same design. It turned out beautifully and I think it's perfect for the holiday season.
